With so many fish eager to take your bait at Tarzali Lakes, you will no doubt be able to boast about your fishing prowess! A great activity for all family members, with or without previous fishing experience.

Tarzali Lakes offers the only guaranteed “No see, No fee” platypus sighting in tropical North Queensland.
There is an abundance of these iconic Australian mammals in our secluded spring fed dam. Don’t miss this opportunity to view these normally shy animals in their natural environment.
Tours are run throughout the day and last from 30 minutes to one hour. Binoculars are available.
If you prefer not to fish, you may be more comfortable with feeding our fish varieties. While meandering around the farm, you will notice the activity taking place in the grow-out ponds and the abundant bird life that share our habitat.
An interesting highlight could include observing the spectacle of an eel feeding frenzy in one of our ponds. Keep your eye open for one of our resident sea eagles.
Perhaps the most intriguing and educational activity in the park is to undertake a 30 minute guided tour. You will see at close range (and in some cases personally handle) some of our friendlier residents such as redclaw, eels and other fish species. The tour includes an explanation of various aquatic life cycles, including breeding, hatchery techniques, harvesting, processing and packaging.
Try your luck at Aqua Golf using our special floating golf balls. Test your skills and those of others to win cash prizes. Aqua Golf is fun for the novice and the serious golfer. Golf clubs and a bucket of balls are provided.
There are over 132 recorded bird species at Tarzali Lakes. Head off on a self guided tour with a pair of binoculars to see how many kind of bird you can find and tick off the list of species that will be provided. Depending on the season, visitors may sight Jabirus, Sea Eagles, Osprey, Kookaburras, Kingfishers and an abundance of water birds.
Here is a great opportunity to see the rare Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo, possums, echidnas and an assortment of smaller natives. Tours run for approximately 1 ½ hours and are arranged by pre-booking only.

The park is a campers’ dream. With so many wonderful camp sites available, you will easily find a secluded lake front location.
Camping is currently limited to unpowered sites with access to a hot shower and toilet facilities. The park is permitted for a full service camp ground and we intend to construct the necessary infrastructure as part of our next development phase.
Bring your tent and catch fish by our largest illuminated lake.
The park is an outstanding venue for ceremonies and special events.
We are happy to assist clubs and other social groups in their fund raising endeavours. Only your imagination can limit what you could offer your members and guests.
Design your own fishing events and sporting prizes. Tarzali Lakes is an ideal venue for corporate or social club team building exercises.

We recommend a good pair of comfortable shoes, hat and sunscreen. Bird and platypus watchers may like to bring their own set of binoculars.
The Smokehouse Café is BYO licensed so feel free to bring your own wine to have with your meal. A modest corkage fee applies.
